Short Bio: I'm Matt, a 21 year old, 5th year, MEng, Mechanical Engineering student. I enjoy messing around with different mechanical components and vehicles. I joined Team HARE in 2020 and have loved getting involved wherever I possibly can. I am a keen rugby player being the University Rugby Captain last year.

Powertrain Lead

Team Position: Powertrain Lead
Course Title: Meng Automotive and Motorsport Engineering

Role Responsibilities: Main responsibilities include optimising the engine by redesigning and evaluating critical components with the aim of improving power and torque curves. These include the intake manifold and engine managements systems. Also responsible for maintaining the condition of the engine as well as any testing, rebuilding or upgrades that may be added. The powertrain lead also manages the design and installation of the powertrain into the chassis.

Short Bio: : Hello, I’m Matthew and I'm a 5th year MEng Automotive and Motorsport Engineering student, currently completing my master's year. I enjoy learning about cars and how they work. I like to tinker with my 1983 Ford Fiesta whenever I can get home to do so. I used to play the piano although I could probably still play now if I tried really hard.

Role Responsibilities: This role involves designing the wiring loop for the car, implementing all electrical and control systems such as a power distribution module to make the wiring of the car cleaner and safer from failures, adding an electric throttle, and working on electronic quick shifter system.

Where Are You From?: Limassol, Cyprus

Short Bio: I am Theo and enjoy working and learning about different types of implementations of electronic and electrical principles on variety of aspects like cars, computers, industrial machineries etc. I love sports and especially football and basketball. Recently I picked up F1 formula and I enjoy watching and learning the process that all F1 teams go through each year to make a competitive car. I am intrigued to learn more about trackside engineers and if can be on of them in the future using my degree in Electronic and Electrical engineering

Role Responsibilities: This role involves aiding in the optimizations of components on the car specifically the steering, braking and pedal box systems. Furthermore, aiding in the workings of the mechanical side of the electric throttle system and electronic quick shifter.

Short Bio: I have always been fascinated with extreme sports and the inner workings of equipment, such as mountain and downhill bikes. I have always loved motorsports and especially rally racing and off roading. I recently discovered the world of football and I enjoy watching any type of sport on tv and live. I would like to travel the world as motorsports engineer in the near future.

Role Responsibilities: My role is analysing and design the car subcomponent parts. The main role as team member to analyse the car suspension system and wheels design. The suspension system and wheels design optimised by through different software and tasks.

Where Are You From?: Huddersfield

Short Bio: I am 5th Mechanical Engineering student. My future aim is to work with Rolls Royce to improve my learning skills. I enjoy my time to learn manufacturing and designing the different models of the car. I like cricket and enjoy to go with my friends.
